chapter 11: what should I say?
Tuesday, 30 June 2009
It was almost 12pm. class just finished and I was on my way heading to the cafeteria. Suddenly, someone closed my eyes and lifted me up by holding my waist and carried me into the doors of the cafeteria.
"Hey! Let me go!" I shouted. Everybody stared at me.
He laughed. I knew that laugh it's.... "Relax Dee. It's me."
BraD. As usual, he comes around, sneaks up behind my back and scares me to death. But I always end up laughing and forgiving him for doing that to me anyway.
"God BraD! Stop scaring me half to death!" I said as he put me down on my feet.
"Sorry." He said, with his puppy dog face. Sigh, couldn't resist it, as always.
I sighed and adjusted the strap of my bag and faced BraD, who was still looking at me with his puppy dog face. "It's alright." Then I smiled.
"Thanks." He grinned. As I turned around and headed my way to the table where me and my friends always sit at, BraD took my hand and kept a hold of it. My heart thumped.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Holding your hand." He said confidently.
"Um. Why?"
He shrugged and smiled. Then turned around and walked towards our table, looking proud. A blush crept over my cheeks. I looked at everyone around me, and they stared. Especially the girls.
"Ahem!" I jumped then turned around facing Zeela and River holding their trays of food.
"Uh. Hey guys?"
"Hey girls." BraD said.
"Hey." They both replied and grinned then made their way to the table.
I sat down next to Jacy and BraD sat in front of me. I covered my face with my hair.
"What's up Dee?" Jacy asked.
"Nothing." I replied immediately.
"Aren't you gonna eat something?"
"Right. Uh, nah. I don't feel hungry."
"But you always eat."
"Not today Jace." I opened my history book and took out my note pad and a pen.
"O-kay then."
"Hey Jace. You mind? I wanna sit next to Dee." BraD said. I suddenly looked up to him and faced him and turned around to look at everyone. What is this boy playing at?
Jacy turned to look at me and smiled, as if she knew why I've been acting weird lately. Which, of course she does. I mean, everyone does. Wait, is it that obvious? Oh great. "Sure." Jacy stood up and so did BraD.
"What are you playing at?" I said under my breath when BraD sat on Jacy's seat.
"Nothing. Can't a guy just sit next to a girl he likes?" Wait what, he likes me? Whoa.
I was speachless. BraD smiled. Why does he have to be so cute?
"You sure you don't wanna eat?" He asked.
"Mmmm not that hungry."
"How about, you and I get out of here and get to town and eat?" He asked.
My face lit up. "W-what? But there's like plenty of food here. Why would you wanna bring me to town just to eat?"
"Cause you don't wanna eat here."
"Well...." I looked around and everybody gave me the "Just say yes will you Dee!" look. "Okay."
"Let's go." BraD grabbed my hand and I didn't even had the chance to say goodbye to the others.
We walked out to the parking lot and on the way to a car. A Nissan 350z, so I'm guessing this is BraD's. "This is your car?" I asked.
He laughed. "Yeah." Then stepped inside and turned the engine on. The car roared.
I stood still, as if I did not know what to do.
Get inside Dee. Get inside the freaking car!
"You coming or what?"
"Yeah."
"Well c'mon." I swallowed a huge gulp and opened the car's door and sat inside.
"So where are we going?"
"D'you like waffles?"
"I guess."
"Then let's get you waffles then." He smiled.
I laughed. "Alright then."
We decided to just eat at the town's skate park and sit on a bench. While eating waffles. Wow, a classic.
"So..." I said.
BraD turned around to face me. "So....?"
"About what you said at the caf just now,"
He stared into the skies, and tried to remember what he said and looked back at me. "Oh. What about it?"
"D'you mean it?"
"How about you?"
"I don't know."
"Well, yeah. I do like you."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
I smiled. "Okay."
"Dia?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I do something?"
"What is it?"
"This." Then he leaned in and grabbed my face and kissed me.

chapter 10: not ready to say those four letters yet.
Monday, 29 June 2009
I kept repeating of what BraD said yesterday when I was alone with him.
"You just look beautiful to me, that's all." I have to admit, he makes me, whats that word? Melt? Yeah. Melt. I keep on smiling eveytime I remember what he said. And it just makes me blush. The girls have been grinning towards me but they acted as if they didn't know anything.
On the way to class this morning, we met up with the guys. Exitedly, my eyes automatically searched for BraD, and as it turns out, he popped out of nowhere, laughing and smiling with Phoenix. I smiled.
Phoenix approaced Kris, which I am not yet comfortable seeing with, since I always see either him or River approach eachother. Suddenly someone came up behind me.
"Hey beautiful."
I turned around, and I found myself nose to nose, our skin almost touching, was no other than, BraD. I think I just fell in love. Wait, I won't use the word, "love". Not yet.
"Hey you." I giggled. I felt all eyes on us. I turned to see Jacy, Zeela, River, Kris, Phoenix, Daryen, Duke and Grant, staring at us. I rolled my eyes. "What?"
"Nothing." They all said at the same time.
I laughed. BraD smiled. Then our eyes locked at eachother, once again.
The bell rang.
Then I broke the silence. "We should get to class." I blushed.
"Don't wanna be late from Ms. Lattimir's class again. Woman goes bullshit on me." Phoenix said. And pecked Kris' forehead.
"Bye Phee!"
Phoenix winked in response, "You coming B?" He asked BraD.
"I'm walking Dee to her class." My eyes opened wide. When did I ever approve that he could walk me back to class? "If that's okay with you?" He grinned at me.
How hot is he? I thought. "S-sure." I held my books up to my chest.
"Catch you later guys." BraD shouted as they walked away.
"Later dude! Have, 'fun'." They said, with the air quotes. Typical.
I turned to face the girls, and they smiled. "See you Dee~" and they all waved together at the same time to me.
I laughed. "C'mon BraD. I don't wanna get scolded too, yknow." I said as I walk pass by him.
"Hold on." He adjusted his backpack. "C'mere." He said.
I laughed. "What the hell are you doing?" Then he pulled me and put his fingers around mine's, and then, I did the same thing to his.
We arrive in front of my french class, I checked inside, my teacher wasn't inside yet. "Your class, my lady." BraD said and bowed. I laughed.
"Thank you young man. You have been nothing but sweet to me." I blushed.
BraD grinned. "Your welcome Dee."
"I guess I'll see you later?"
"Most definately." Our face was close to eachother, I had a feeling that he was gonna kiss me. But he grinned and turned around, and walked away instead.

chapter 9: fall for you.
Saturday, 27 June 2009
The boys and girls had lunch together at a restaurant just down town for a small celebration to welcome Dia back to St. Mary's.
"So Dee," Zeela whispered "Met BraD already, ey?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
Dia laughed, "Yeah I did. And, what's the thing? He's just someone I met." She smiled.
"I think he likes you!" Jacy interupted. And everyone looked at her. She blushed. Dia and Zeela laughed. "Chyeah right. I just got here. Okay? Besides, he doesn't even know me." Dia said, while looking through the menu.
"That's what you think. Phoenix told us he told BraD stuff about you. Wayheyhey!" Zeela said.
Dia's eyes went wide and dropped her mouth, "Even the the thing about me doing, you know what?"
Jacy and Zeela noded. "But! Don't go all panicky yet! BraD doesn't mind. He thinks it's cool that you went to rehab to get your act all cleaned up." Jacy said.
"Um. And you guys are sure about that?" Dia asked, then she glanced to her right side, where the boys were sitting and looked at BraD. She blushed.
"Positive. He said it himself in front of us. It's no big deal Dee." Zeela said when Dia turned around to face Jacy and Zeela.
"I hope not." Dia replied. "Alright, you guys ready to order?" She asked her friends.
"Yeap! I'm starving!" River said. "I'll have the fish and chips and a chocolate milkshake please." River told the waitress.
"I'll have the fetucinni carbonara and a glass of coke thanks." Zeela said.
"D'you guys have frozen pizza here?" Jacy asked the waitress. Then everyone looked at Jacy. "What? Okay fine. Can I just have a slice of Pepperoni pizza thanks."
"Um. I'll just have the," Dia's eyes trailed off when she glanced to the boy's table and saw BraD smiled and laughed. She smiled.
"Dia?" Zeela snapped her fingers. "Dia! Wake up from dream land woman!"
Dia shook her head, "Uh. Whah? Oh right. I'll just have a glass of Coke and some french fries. Thanks."
"French fries Dee? Can that make you full?" River asked.
"I don't think I'm gonna finish a plate of frenc fries anyway." Dia replied.
"What were you staring at?" Jacy eyed Dia.
"Nothing! Uh, I thought I saw something across the room that's all."
"Right~" Zeela said. Dia laughed.
"Whatever guys." Just then, the door opened, and walked in a couple. Dia found them familiar. It was Kris and Phoenix. Holding hands. And laughing. Dia turned back to River, who was not looking at them, but just staring at her shoes. Dia got up at greeted Kris and Phoenix and congratulated them and sat next to River and put her arms around River's shoulder.
"You okay Riv?"
"I will be." River said with an insincere smile. Dia hugged River and knows she'll feel better soon.
Just then, Daryen, River's new boyfriend entered the restaurant and surprised River. River jumped and hugged him. Just then, Kris sat next to Zeela and Jacy.
"I'm gonna go outside and get some fresh air yeah guys?" Dia said.
"Alright."
Dia walked outside and breathed in the hot summer air and felt safe.
"Tasted the smell of freedom already huh?" Someone said from the back.
Dia turned around and saw that it was BraD. Walking towards her, hands in his pocket.
"Well, it's been a whole 4 months." Dia replied with a smile and turned around.
BraD stood next to her. And eyed her with a smile. Dia turned around to face him.
Dia blushed. "What?"
"Nothing." BraD replied. "You just look beautiful to me that's all."
Dia's face turned more red. "Why, thanks." Then the both of them stared into the sun. Together.

chapter 8: see you on the flipside!
Thursday, 25 June 2009
Jacy and the others told the principal that Dia had a problem at home.
They told Dia's mom that Dia had an important trip to Mexico and won't be back till 4 months or so. But somehow, Megan; Dia's sister found out that Dia was checked into rehab.
3 months had passed. Jacy and her friends visited Dia on the weekends. Megan visited Dia on Mondays and Wednesdays. So Jacy and her friends didn't know that Dia had a sister.
One day.
"Hey Dee." Her friends entered Dia's room with a smile.
"Hey guys."
"Ready to go back home?" Jacy asked.
"Yeah. I am." Dia replied with a smile.
"Learned your lesson for the past 3 months?" River asked.
"Yeah. I hope I did."
"Good. You'll get your ass outta here by next week." Kris said.
"Thanks guys. I owe you guys alot. And I'm really sorry." Dia said, guilty.
"It's alright Dee. We understand it's hard for you." Zeela said.
All Dia can reply is with an unsincere smile and she looked out the window.
"Hey guys," Jacy started talking, "Wanna grab a bite?"
"Sure." Kris and Zeela said.
"You guys go ahead. I'm don't feel hungry. I'll stay with Dee instead." River said.
"Y'sure Riv?" Zeela asked.
"Yeap."
"Oright. See ya!"
River headed towards the window, where Dia was sitting. She let out a huge sigh. Dia turned to see River sitting next to her, looking sad. "What's wrong Riv?"
She sighed again. "I dunno Dee. Ever since the break up with Phoenix, I've been nothing but bummed out."
"But you have Dayren."
"Yeah. I know. And I love him alot. But....... oh I dunno."
"It's okay Riv. You'll get over it." Dia replied, and hugged her.
"Thanks Dee. For making me feel better."
"The pleasure's all mine."
The next week.
"Taste the freedom Dee!" Jacy said, swinging Dia's bags up in the air.
They arrived at St. Mary's the morning Dee was realesed. The sun was shinning, the blue skies were rolling, birds chirping, the smell of fresh air; Dia felt nothing but happy.
"It's good to be back." When Dia was about to turn to around and walk towards the administration office, she accidentally bumped to someone. Her bag fell, and the person that she bumped into's books fell.
"Omigod! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!" Dia said appologeticly.
"It's alright."
When Dia turned to face up to that guy, she realized that he was staring at her. And then she noticed that she stared at him back. Dia blushed.
"Yo BraD!" Dia heard from the corned. It was Phoenix. "Wayheyhey! I see you've met the girl I was talking to you about!" He grinned.
"W-wha'? Er, nice to see you too Phee?" Dia said.
Phoenix laughed. "Hey Dee!"
Then Dia noticed, she and the guy, whom she heard Phoenix called, BraD was laughing with her.
And she smiled.

chapter 7: check me into rehab
It's been 2 months since the girls knew about my drug dealing problems. And it's been a month since I secretly supplied drugs to the sophmores in school, again. I couldn't help it. I'll seriously be dead x 10000 when the girls finds out. I stacked the drugs I bought in my locker. I mean, no one would find out, right?
3 months later.
"Adia seems kinda stressed out lately. D'you think the exams made her worried or something?" Zeela asked Jacy.
"I dunno. She's been like this ever since we found out about her drug dealing, thing." She said sharply.
"Do you think.... ?"
"Oh, I'm gonna kill her!"
Later.
I was with a guy, on my bed. Kissing. But one thing's for sure I don't know him at all. I was drunk and everything was all blury. Suddenly, the front door slammed open. Crap. Not now. I could hear footsteps coming towards the bedroom.
"What."
"The."
"HELL?!"
Apparently, the person who said 'Hell', was Jacy. I wouldn't blame her. She did find me, making out with a guy they don't even know, that I don't even know, in our dorm, in our bedroom. with me being drunk.
"W-what?"
"Ow crap. Gotta go Dee." I could see from my not so clear but blur vision that the guy I made out with stormed off taking his clothes and out the door with a huge slam.
"Uhhh." I couldn't speak properly. I could see 4 figures of girls, which I bet is the girls and I could tell that they don't have that happy-go-lucky look on their faces.
"I would scream, and yell and god knows what fucking else, but I am nice." Jacy said through her teeth.
"Wha'? Oh, hey mom. When did you arrive? I think my nose is broken." I laughed and took a sip of the beer next to my bed and drank it. And laughed.
"What the hell? Okay she's officially drunk. Kaboosh. Boom. God, what kind of trouble does Dee attract to?" Zeela said annoyed, talking to Jacy while carrying me towards the door.
"I think she needs help." Jacy said.
"I'm fine! Fine mom! I'm perfectly fine!" I shouted and swung my hand around with the bottle of beer and danced around in circles like a maniac.
"Okay, she has officially, lost it." Kris said, pissed and she took my bottle.
"Hey! I-" Kris covered my mouth. "Oh. Shut up Dia." Kris said.
"Dyou think she needs to check into..... ?" Zeela said.
"The.... the.... the 'R' word?" River asked, hesitating.
"Rehab." Jacy said sharply, with no hesitations. "She needs to. As soon as possible. We'll say to the principal that she needs to go back to her hometown because of something and it'll might take months, but eventually she'll come back. Agree?"
"Agree."
"Agree."
"For sure."
"Hayy. Mmmme gohhh." I mumbeled through Kris' hand which was still covering my mouth.
"Let's go. We don't have much time." They all went out, grabbed their coats, while Jacy took my phone and flipped it.
"She's been making phone calls with that John guy."
"That skunkbag! Delete his number Jace." Zeela said.
"Already did. Let's go!"
chapter 6: caught
3 days had passed since I started selling drugs to the sophmores in my school. I earned about, $1000 and it's been good. Eversince then, lots of people started to notice me, as if their starstruck about me. And for some reason, I loved the way things have been going now.
Ring. Ring. Ring. "Hello?"
"SIS! OMG! It's Megan! I missed you!"
"Megan? Meg?"
"Yes! It's me!"
Whoa. "Oh. My. God. Hey Megs!"
"Guess what? I'm going for military school!"
"What? Eh? What for?"
"I don't know. Mom says it fits me, or something but, I think it sounds awesome! Don't you think?"
"Um. Yea, yeah it sounds............ great."
"You don't seem exited and happy for me.."
"Hold on, I am Megs, I'm really proud of you."
"Riiiight. Anyways, mom's concert's coming up. And I wrote a song, for you sis! You don't know how much I miss you. I got extra tickets, you going?"
"Um. Can't Megs, kinda busy. Y'know? School and all. Tests are driving me up the wall. Mid-year exams are coming up too. I wish I could go Megs. Sorry."
"Are those just excuses or what Dia?"
"It's-"
"Whatever sis. Your always making up excuses. Just like dad. Who knows what you'll turn up as. A drunk. Drug-dealer."
"Now Megs, you just went way too fa-"
"Sure. Whatever! If you didn't wanna go, you could've said so. Stop telling people lies Dia, and excuses are included too! Y'know what, I'll be off sis, see you around."
"But I-" Just then, the line got engaged. Sigh. That was Megan, my sister. Obviously. I hated when I have to lie to her. But she seriously pissed me off when she said I'd turn to a drunk and a drug dealer like my dad. Please. Being like my dad would be the last thing I'd do. I think.
"Hey Dee!"
I turned around, it was Kris and Zeela. "Hey guys!"
"Hey! Have you heard? Someone's supplying drugs to the sophmores here! What a dirty skunkbag. I wonder who it is." Kris said. My heart thumped.
"Err. Yeah, I heard too! Shocking."
"I know right! Drugs are waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond me. They disgust me." Zeela added, taking a sip of her strawberry smoothie.
"I know right. So what have you been up to Dee? We haven't, well I haven't seen you lately. Tests got your tongue?" Kris asked.
"Um. Yeah, tests. Been er, at the library. Studying, you know~" I told. I bit my lip.
Kris and Zeela laughed. "Awesome."
I laughed back, "Yeeaaaaaaaaah."
"Hey, what's in the bag Dee?" Zeela asked.
I jumped, "OH!" And turned my bag, "It's just a..... er.... a packet of...... sweets! I've been hungry lately, after all that studying."
"Right." Zeela eyed me suspiciously. "Well, I guess we'll see you later?
"Yeah! Yeah! 'Course. Bye!" I shouted.
"O.....kay. Bye Dee." Kris said.
Zeela lifted one eyebrow up, "Er, bye Dee." And they walked away.
I sighed in relief.
with Zeela, Jacy, Kris, River and the guys; in the girls' dorm.
"I'm telling you guys! Something's up with Dee. She's not being herself lately." Zeela sighed and dropped down in a chair.
"Hmm. You got that right. She's hiding something. And that bag! Everytime I go near her bag she'll come running for it as if it's her life." Jacy said, annoyed.
"I guess. That's what she did when Zeels asked her what's in her bag this afternoon! Weird." Kris added.
"When she's asleep tonight, let's dig up her bag. I'm seriously curious and suspicious about her." Jacy said.
"Alright! Let's do this."
That night.
"Good evening girls!" I said, as I entered my dorm.
"Hey Dee." Everyone said, eyeing on the television, watchin TV.
I stretched and yawned. God, who knew selling drugs would be so tirring. Another yawn. "Hey guys, I'm off to bed yeah? The studying made me tired." I said.
"Okay." Zeela said, "Good night Dee." Her eyes followed me until I reached my bed. And I drifted.
"C'mon guys! Where's her bag?!" Jacy said, quietly.
"There! Go!" Zeela pointed.
They searched Dia's bag and found something they didn't like.
"Oh."
"My."
"Effing."
"Cat."
Everyone looked at River, "what? okay fine, 'God'".
"We've got a problem." Jacy said.
The lights turned on.
Dia came out, scratching her head in confuse. "Hey, what's everyone doing up so late?"
Everyone turned to Dia, and stared at her. With shock.
"What? What the-"
Jacy and the others walked up to her and threw the drugs on her feet, making a mess.
"What the hell Adia?!" Jacy shouted.
"Shit."

chapter 5: addicted
Oh crap. What the hell? They've been sneaking around my stuff?! This is not good. Crap. Crap. Crap. "Uh. What are you guys doing with my stuff?!"
"The real question is, what are you doing with these drugs?!" Jacy yelled at me and pointed down on the floor, where the drugs messed up the floor.
"Uh. Well, it's none of your business!" I said.
"It is, Dia! Your our dorm mate! Your doing drugs! Your, your. Oh whatever! But it is our business, alright!" Jacy shouted. She picked up my bag which was on the floor and gripped it tight and suddenly, a piece of paper fell on the floor. Zeela picked it up. Her eyes reading each and every word from the card. Suddenly her eyes, opened wide and her mouth opened in a perfect shape of an "O".
"Zeels, you okay? What the eff's that?" Kris asked Zeela.
Gulp.Zeela didn't say anything, but she handed the piece of paper to Kris. She had the same reaction as Zeela did.
"What the eff?" Jacy said. She walked up towards Kris and took the paper, and after a few seconds, she glared at me.
Oh, crap."This is even worser, than taking drugs, Dia." She said through her teeth.
"Uh. I-"
"So your the one supplying drugs to the sophmores."
"Well, yeah but-"
"No. Buts. Adia."
silence."How long have you been supplying these drugs?" She asked.
"Um. Well, about uh. A month ago?"
Zeela, River, Jacy and Kris gave me an annoyed face. "I think you need help. I think I know why your doing this, Dee."
"What?"
"Your dad's been dealing with drugs too, right?"
silence. "Well?" Jacy asked.
"Yeah." I finally said.
Jacy looked at the others, I couldn't make up what their saying. A few seconds later, the others nodded towards Jacy.
"You need to stop this Dee." Jacy said.
"Um."
"You could get caught, who knows what the school's gonna do to you. Throw you out, get you suspended, give you in to the police, or
worse."
"Okay. Okay, I'll stop." I finally said.
"Just like that?" Zeela asked.
"Yeah. Just like that." I tried to smile.
"Hmkay." Jacy took my bag and took the small packets of drugs and threw it in the bin. My eyes opened wide.
"There. You can't stop when you have those, can't you?" Jacy smiled.
"Uh. Yeah. Right. Pff."
"Alright. Now all of that's settled, let's go to bed." Zeela said, while stretching her arms.
"Yeah. I'm bummed out. Good night guys." Kris said.
All of them headed their way back to their beds. "You guys go ahead first. I wanna drink." I said.
I quieltly went in to the kitchen, and flipped open my phone and checked if I still had John's number. And I did. I flipped it close, and headed off. Smiling.
hey, it's not that easy for a drug dealer to just, stop right? ;)

chapter 4: red light
"Here." John said.
I grabbed the huge envolope and handed John a cheque worth $50,000. Dad will be furious when he finds out, but who cares. It's not like I'm coming back home. This is my home now. I finally feel like as if I have a real family. That treats me nicely.
"Alright. Now scram! I'll call you if I need any more."
"Okay." He sounds like as if scared of me. Whoa. Who knew a 15 year old girl can make a 30 year old man scared of her. God. I am so cool.
I walked away from John, leaving him staring at a piece of paper, worth lots. And I bought drugs with that piece of paper. I feel dirty. But awesome and brave at the same time.
That night, I accompanied River shopping at Target's, which was just a 7 minutes walk from our building, to buy food and snacks for 'Movie Night'.
"We do it at least once or twice a month. To let the stress out." She told me, while taking a bag of marshmellows.
"Sound's cool. I never had movie night." I laughed.
"Well, we're honoured to be the first ones to watch an awesome movie with you!" She dropped her marshmellows and hugged me tight. I was shocked, but I could tell that she was smiling. So, I dropped my stuff onto the ground and hugged her back. "I know we're gonna be the best of friends Dee!" River said.
"I know. Hey, wait a minute. Aren't we already?" I grinned.
"Aw shucks!" She hugged me back. Suddenly, her phone rang. She let go of me and searched her bag for her phone. She looked at the caller ID. "Who is it?" I asked her, curious.
"Aw. It's Phoenix." She flipped her side-kick, "Hi Phee!" She said exitedly. I could almost here him talking over the phone just standing a few inches away from River. She turned it to loudspeaker.
"Hello pretty! You done shopping?"
"Almost! I'm with Dia here."
"Oh. Hello Dee!"
"Hi Phee!" I shouted back.
"Anyways," River started talking, "We'll be in Jacy's dorm in about, 10 minutes, yeah?"
"Alright love, we'll see you there then! Love you!"
"Love you too!" Then the call ended. River flipped her side-kick close and faced towards me. "I miss Phee." She sighed.
"I bet, wait no, I know he misses you too." I smiled. River smiled back.
"C'mon. Let's pay these things and hurry up to the dorm before they kick our asses for being late." She laughed.
"I agree with you on that." I laughed back.
We watched bride wars and laughed our asses off that night. It was an awesome night. We said goodnight to the boys and the other girls as they quietly walked to their dorms. I slept smiling, happily that night.
The drama will begin.............. in my next post! :D turah!

chapter 3: the morning light
It was my first day of starting school in St. Mary's. And like everyone else, I got nervous. Zeela and Jacy were both kind enough to walk me to my first class, which was French. I loved french. One advantage about that subject is that you can talk and swear about people infront or behind their backs. Except for french people, of course.
"Nervous?" Zeela asked.
"Yeah. Alot." I replied.
"Don't be. It'll be fine, trust me. You'll be walking in and out of that class for the rest of your school life before you know it." Jacy said, making me feel better.
"Thanks Zeels. Thanks Jace." I smiled.
"Your welcome." They both said.
"Well, here's my french class. I guess I'll see you guys later?"
"You bet it." Jace punched me and winked.
Ow. I closed my eyes and said, "O-kay."
"Oops! Sorry!"
"It's alright, I think I needed that." I laughed.
"Anyways, see you later Dee!" Zeela said. Both of them waved and went for that class.
"Every one, meet Adia Beckett." My french teacher, Ms. Salvador intorduced me to my classmates.
"Hi." I said.
"Hey Adia, welcome to St. Mary's." One girl said.
"Thanks!" I shot back at her.
"Now, is there anything you would want before we start this class Adia?" Ms. Salvador asked.
"Nah. It's fine, and Miss. I prefer being called Dia. Adia sounds, well not me." I blushed and smiled.
She laughed. "Sure Dia. Please, there's an empty seat at the back, you can sit there."
"Thanks Miss."
Before I knew it, french class was over. It was alright, no embarassing things or whatever I did so far. I had math after that, which was great, since Zeela will be there. When I entered math, Zeela had an empty seat next to her.
"Dia! Here, sit here!" She waved at me, exitedly. I smiled.
"Hey Zeels." I said, pulling the chair next to her.
"Hi!" she said, "How was french? Did it turn out okay?" She asked.
"It was alright." I laughed a nervous laugh. "So far, so good."
"Well I'm glad to hear." She elbowed my arm.
A teacher went inside the classroom. She was wearing a profesor-like suit. Her hair tied up in a bun, and she was carrying a medium sized notebook and suitcase. Ms. Dallia, my math teacher. I'm guessing.
"Alright class. We have a new student who transfered from New York. Meet Adia. Adia, please stand up and introduce yourself."
I stood up and looked around the classroom, everyone seemed to look at me as if they saw a ghost or something, I looked down and saw Zeela, smiling. "Well, um. I'm Adia, I prefer being called Dia. I just got here a few days a go in St. Mary's and I'm starting to like it here."
"Well that's good to hear Dia. I'm sure you be doing well here just fine. Now, enough of that. Class, please take out your text book and turn to page 185."
Math class was over, 12.30pm. Lunch time, at the cafetiria.
"How was your first day Dee?" Jacy asked. While taking a bowl of salad.
"It was okay. So far so good." I smiled, taking a cup of coffee.
"That's great! I'm sure your next class after this will be much better."
"I hope so. Thanks Jace. You guys have been nothing but nice to me. I really owe you guys."
"Hey, even though we just met. We treat you like we've known you for years. What a friends for?" She smiled. I smiled back.
Just when we were about to sit at our table, my pocket vibrated. I put my tray down on to the nearest table next to me and checked the caller ID. "John." I whispered to myself.
"Anything wrong Dee?" Zeela asked.
"Oh. No. Nothing. Hey, may I be excused? I gotta go to the ladies room."
"Sure, I'll put your tray at our table yeah?" Jacy said.
"Sure. Thanks Jace!" I said, and ran out the door like a gust of wind.
"Hello?"
"Dia. We're outside, do you want them now?"
"Don't meet me outside you moron! Go to the parking lot. I'll meet you there in 10."
"Okay."
I hung up. Relieved, I walked out of the toilet, and made my way to the parking lot. Hands in my pocket.
x.
chapter 2: warm welcome.
When I arrived in my dorm room, my stuff was already unpacked and organized.
What. The. Hell?"Hello." A voice said behind me.
I turned around and faced a girl; skinny, tall, light-brown hair, blue and green eyes. she looked like a model. "Um, hello."
"Adia right?" She asked with a smile. My heart beated fast.
"Um yeah. And you are?"
"Zeela. Zeela Amelia Crawford." She smiled.
"Dia. Adia Waila Beckett. It's nice to meet you." I offered her my hand.
She took my hand and we shook hands. "It's nice to meet you too." She said with a big grin.
I blushed scarlett. "Um. Who unpacked my stuff? It's like, organized." I stared off into the room.
"Oh. I did" She paused. "Sorry if I did. I just wanted to meet you and all, instead of you unpacking your stuff. Which wastes alot of time. Sorry." She said, embarassed.
"Oh." I laughed. "It's okay. I was just gonna say thanks. You did it by yourself?"
"My sister, Jacy, helped me."
"Oh, I'd like to meet her."
"You will! She's in campus having lunch with my other friends. Wanna come with? I'm sure they'll love you!" She said exitedly.
"Well," I paused for awhile, I looked at how exited she looked, "Sure. I mean, why not? At least I'll have friends on my first day here." I smiled.
"Awesome! I'm sure they'll love you to bits! Just like me! Even though I just met you and all, but I know we're gonna work out really well." She grinned. I smiled back.
"C'mon, put your heavy bags down and come with me."
I put my hand bag down on the floor, took my cellphone and wallet with me and went out of the dorm.
On the way to campus, Zeela showed me where the classes are, and coincidentally, I have 5 classes with her. Which was great, since I can see a friendly and familiar face the whole time. She showed me where the principal's office was, the cafeteria(sp?) "We don't really eat inside there. We don't like it when people keep on looking at us when we eat, it's just....... weird. If you get what I mean." She told me.
"Oh. Howcome?" I asked.
"I'm not actually sure." She replied.
What I noticed was, on the way to campus, it's like people kept on staring at us, well, Zeela actually. And some of them even waved and said Hi to her. Then it hit me, like a blot of lightning.
Is Zeela a popular girl here? I asked myself. Well, we'll just have to wait and see.
I arrived in campus and saw a bunch of girls and guys hanging out, laughing. Most of them looked like models and were stunningly beautiful. The guys, on the other hand, looked like professional football players, jocks and all those who were into sports.
"ZEELA!" A girl, brunette, skinny and tall. She looked alot like Zeela, so I'm guessing this was Jacy.
"JACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Zeela screamed back at her. Okay, so it was Jacy. Wiat, okay twins?
Whoa. They hugged. I just slowly walked towards them.
Jacy looked at me from bottom to top. I blushed and smiled. "Hey. Who's this?" Jacy asked Zeela.
"Oh. This is our new room mate. Adia, meet Jacy. My sister, the one I told you about in our dorm." She said.
"Hi. Adia sounds, kinda geeky to me. Just call me Dia. It's nice to meet you Jacy." I offered Jacy my hand.
The second thing I knew, we were shaking hands. "It's nice to meet you. Welcome to St. Mary's. I'm sure you'll love it here. Us people here, yeah, gotta admit, we're nice." She smiled.
"I'm sure I'll love it here. I have the feeling it's gonna be better than how my life was in New York."
"We'll make sure of that." Jacy said and Zeela smiled.
"C'mon let's introduce you to our friends." Jacy said.
"Sure. I'd love to."
Zeela laughed.
"Dia, meet Macy, popular girl in school and also our sister. She goes to Brookston High Boarding School no far from here. She's just visiting us here." She pointed me to a blonde headed girl. She looked like a doll. And a part of her face definately had Jacy and Zeela in it.
"Hello." I said.
She smiled. "Hi there."
Then, she introduced me to a two girls; another pair of twins?
crazy. "This is Rivereira and Camille. Their sisters."
"Hello Dia!" both of them said.
"Hi Rivereira and Camille."
"Aw, shucks. Please, call me River." She smiled.
I laughed. "Hi River."
"Much better." She winked.
Then, she introduced me to the guys, I remember their names completely; Grant, Troyal, Phoenix (who was dating River), Duke. And a guy named BraD. But I didn't see him there since Jacy and Zeela said he was overseas, or something. And will be back in a few months or so. They've been nothing but nice to me, which was great.
That night, I was alone. Jacy and Zeela had some kind of function to attend to. And the others had some meeting or whatever. I was walking my way back to the dorm when I remebered something. The card. The card I took from my dad's wallet the night before I moved in St. Mary's.
Flashback: "John. 4 more. call me at 001898377 if you need anymore." I took the card out. What does, 'If you need anymore' mean? I took out my cell, dialled the number.
Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. "Hello?"
Ow shit. "Um, hello?"
"Yes, hello. Who is this?"
My dad does drugs. My dad drinks. He's a drug dealer. He's an alcoholic. I know what this number is for. This guy, John, or who ever her is, is supplying drugs to my dad. I'm sure of it. "Um. John, is it?" I asked.
"Yes John. And you are?"
"Wait, I just wanna ask first, do you know a man named William Beckett?"
"Yes I do. Who is this?" He asked again.
"I'm Dia Beckett."
silence."You supply him drugs right? To Will?" I asked.
"Y-yes." He didn't sound confident when he said that. More like, scared or something.
"Well, I want $50,000 worth of drugs." I said confidently. My dad does drugs, so why can't I?
John, on the other line, let out a huge laugh. "And who's money are you gonna use to pay those drugs sweetie? Your dad's?" He laughed again.
"Ha ha. Funny huh?" I said sarcasticly. "Look son of a bitch. Listen carefuly and listen well. If I said I want the drugs, I'm getting alright? And I'll pay you back. Is that so hard? Unless, you want me to call the police and let them drag your ass and rot in jail for the rest of your life."
silence."Well?" I asked. Sounding desperate.
"Uh. Alright. I'll get them for you." He finally said.
"Good. Oh, and by the way, don't mention this to anyone. alright? Cause if you do, I'll make your sorry ass regret it for the rest of your fucking sorry ass life." I smiled to myself.
"Okay."
"I want them as soon as possible."
"I heard you moved down to Texas?"
"Yeah. So? What, you lazy? Get one of your boys to send them down for you, duh."
"No. No. I'll send 'em down to you myself."
"Good. I go to St. Mary's Boarding School in Calabasas."
"I'll call you when I get there as soon as possible." He repeated what I said.
"Good. Don't you forget."
"Y-yes, m-ma'am."
Then I hung up. I breathed in the cool air and headed my way back into the night.
will post another one soon, x.
chapter 1: started
a public blog for you guys to read :p hahaha. enjoy!
let's take Dia from Zeke's story, The Broken Records. As you all know (if you guys read her story), she was a drug dealer. got it from her dad, William. Went to rehab for 4 months. after rehab, she met a hot and popular jock, BraD, and fell in love with him eversince. she was a miss goody two shoes, until her drug dealing days came back to her and haunted her. In episode 7 of The Broken Records, Dia died of overdosing on drugs and her boyfriend, BraD killed himself by shooting himself in the head. Okay, done with the intro. :D here's how the story goes.
A Blast From The Past.
The door slammed open. I jumped and ran towards the door, curiously wondering who it was. It was dad, who just got back home dripping wet from his tour with his band. Yes, I have a dad as a rockstar.
As I wanted to walk back to the living room, I caught a sight of my dad holding a beer bottle. Or two. Crap. I ran ro my room. Where should I start? Dad's a tremendous drunk. Beats me up. And my sister. And mom. And you know what drunk people do when their drunk. Hit things, scream, beat their family members and god knows what other things they do. Did I mention my dad does drugs to? No? Yeah he does. Which makes things alot more worser. I thought, this will be all over. Since I am going to boarding school in a few days. St. Mary's Boarding School, Calabasas, Texas. It's probabbly every girl's dream to go there. I couldn't wait. But spare me, I'm still gonna get beaten up everyday till I get outta here.
My current school here in New York was alright. I used to get straight As in almost every subject. Until, well, the beating and all started. It took over my school life. I thought about how painful the bruises were. Leaving a scar on my body. Scratches here and there. Because of that, my grades were dropping. And if dad finds out, it'll be 100 times worser than just beating and shouting.
Knock. Knock. Knock. There was a loud knock on the door. Crap. I'm guessing, wait no. I am sure that it's dad.
"Y-yes? Who is it?" I shouted.
"ADIA WAILA BECKETT OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR AND COME OUT HERE NOW!"
"Shit. Please don't tell me he's gonna beat me up just because of a C in math."
"ADIA!"
"GOD. I'm coming!"
I quickly walked towards the door and turned the knob around. Once the door opened, I saw dad holding a bottle of beer and a piece of paper. I could see by the looks of it, it was my math paper.Crap. I got a C for that test! Fuck fuck fuck!
"What is this Adia? WHAT IS THIS?!?!" He shouted and pushed me on the floor and threw the piece of paper, which was now crumpled and wet, probabbly because of the beer. I looked at it, and faced my dad. Paniced.
"Um, my math test paper?"
"YES YOUR MATH TEST PAPER! WHY IS YOUR GRADE ONLY A C?!" He came up to me and slapped me. On the face. Then he stepped back. I rubbed my cheek and felt as if it was burning. That slap, was even more worser than the ones he gave me before. I started shaking and was about to cry.
"D-dad. I couldn't concentrate in class. Your a drunk! You do drugs and I can't help but cry and not attend classes because of the bruises you give me everytime you come back home hanging out with your friends!" I shouted.
"SHUT UP ADIA! DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!" He took his bottle and dropped it on my floor. Glass pieces shattered all over the floor. I started to cry. And closed my eyes.
"Your just a useless piece of shit to me Adia. I'm glad you'll be out of here." When he said that. I felt as if my heart actually stopped beating for a good 5 seconds. Everything went black. My mouth fell open, I wanted to say something. At least something, but nothing came out of my mouth.
"Huh. Thought so. Once your out of here, I never wanna see your face in this house again. Ever." And then he walked out. Leaving me on the floor, like what he said: Like a piece of shit.
The night before leaving New York for Texas, I was still awake. It wasn't because of excitement or anything; it was because I had one last thing to do. I got up and headed my way to my parents' room. Everything was dark and pitched black, I could barely see. But I had to do this, I had to. I was outside of my parents' room and I slowly opened their door knob, and headed my way inside. I searched for my mom and dad; they were sleeping. Thank god. I headed to my dad's wardrobe, searched for his wallet and took his credit card. Then I noticed, there was a card and it said: "John. 4 more. call me at 001898377 if you need anymore." I took that as well. I quickly walked to the door and went back inside my room. Relieved.
It was a new day. A new morning. A new dawn. A fresh new start. And I feel awesome. I made my way downstairs, hugged my mother and sister, and promised them I'd meet them soon. I hugged them once more, and left.
I arrived at St. Mary's at aproximately, 12pm in the afternoon. I could see lots of people getting out from their cars, kissing and waving goodbye to their parents. Sigh. What a screwed up family I have. As I walked my way to the registration office, a group of girls passed by me, and smiled. I smiled back, as I thought that maybe, just maybe, people will accept me in this new life.
